Sido Muncul : Herbal Medicine Factory Matters on Educational Development

On March 30, 2017 ago I was lucky to visit one of famous herbal medicine (or commonly said as Jamu) factory in Indonesia, Sido Muncul. The factory is approximately one hour’s driving from my house

For whomย  never consume or even know about it, what actually Jamu is?

For those who choose medical treatment, after going to the doctor, they will follow the steps of treatment by consuming drugs prescribed by the doctor.

But nowadays more and more people try to maintain good health through variety of herbs. In Indonesia, we have ย various spices and plants as materials for herbal medicine.

So, what is the contribution of herbal medicine for economic growth ย of the country then?

Get ready, november rain will come early…

This big backpack caught my eyes since couple days ago. It seemed hundred years ago since my first journey to Mahameru. I can’t help to feel how I long for another trip with my buddies again to that stunning place.

“Do you think it’s okay for us if we go there with this cloudy and windy situation?”

Her anxious face made me smile.

“Don’t worry, my friend… we’ll dance in the sweet November rain there. It was already too long dry season for us. We deserve enjoying November rain in Ranu Kumbolo,” I tried to calm her.

“It’s too early for rain, isn’t it?”

Again and again…she said something to lowen her fear.

“Yes, November rain will come early this time. We should be there, in the middle of Ranu Kumbolo’s beautiful scenery while rain comes to our tent. It will be our amazing time together there, don’t you think?”

No more excuse, she will accompany me in the journey next week. Wait for us, Mount Semeru.

Brave Women Behind The Pinks

The weather is very hot here in my town. It seems very contrary to the weather in New York city.

Why did suddenly I remember New York?

I’d never been in New York. To be precise, I never went to the United States. My limited steps made me dwelling in same places throughout the years. Home, office, my children’s school, mall, well…uhm… very regular places, right? Even it’s too rarely for me to go out of town.

Still, I remember someone in New York there. She is not a neighbor, not a sister, even we had met two or three times only. Then why does she fill my mind?

Before talking about my friend in New York City, I want to tell you about someone else first. A few years ago my sister often went home with a sad story about her friend affected by breast cancer. The cancer stadium was quite high when she realized something happened to her body. Then she tried to deny the fact of her condition. She refused treatment, won’t to eat, locked herself in her room, she really felt devastated. Her family understood this distress period, but they were also confused how to support her if she herself didn’t have spirit to recover in any way.

I don’t think it’s necessary to tell about end of this story. It made me sad.

breast cancer

In a very contrary way with above story, my friend in New York experienced the same thing still has a high motivation to recover. Living abroad, without any siblings or parents accompanied, jobs with high stress levels, but she remains tough. I almost never saw her sharing sad story in her social media and blog. Just pumping spirit was what she did to support other cancer patients in order not to feel alone anymore.

There are many people sincerely support the struggle of cancer survivors. Through donations, through prayer, through awareness, the slightest thing remains to be done so that the breast cancer patients do not feel alone. Yes, for some reason they got sick. However, this reason no longer need to be discussed, the more important is how they recover and still live a normal life like any other.

Some organization and people already start to make movements of awareness on cancer attack. Yes, awareness of yourself is important for health check. Just as important as paying attention and prayer to others who already got cancer in their blood. Make them brave to fight, since no medical will be better than our own spirit and faith.

Hello brave women, I’m along with you here. All my best pray for you. You are all amazing people….

Never ending story

Hello again in Blogging 101 project…. Now it’s time to write more about this blog’s title and tag line.

Too much unrevealed journeys… It’s not by accident I give this special tag line to my blog. There are many things happened in my life. Do not imagine spectacular moments ๐Ÿ™‚ For me, simple things such as go around with my kids, play with them in home or playground, spending my ‘me time’ with books, and many other common occasions are excited journeys.

For a simple mom like me, all little things as mentioned above are so priceless. I still spent six days a week in office. So, me time and family time are two of my favourite moments. They could be anything, such as :

hang out with my girl , read books as many as we can

My first postcard from Russia

Please tell me, what do you think about this postcard picture ?

002 Alevtina - Russia

Cold. Yes, i can imagine how cold is the situation on the picture ๐Ÿ™‚

It is The Samara Academic Theatre of Maxim Gorky, designed by architect M.N. Chichagoy during 1886 – 1888. Then reconstructed by architects Y.I. Musatof, V.F. Gorelikhin and V.A. Golosov in 1967.

This card is from Alevtina, my new postcard friend from Samara Russia. Based on her handwriting, Samara is populated by almost one million people. It’s famous as a second capital during World War II.

I like how she wrote her message though I have to work hard to read it. It’s so little ๐Ÿ˜‰

But take a lok of her stamps and sticker, it’s so precious. Thanks for your very beautiful card, dear Alevtina.
